T-MINUS 14 HOURS BEFORE TAKE OFF!!!

It has been a whirlwind week of getting things packed and errands ran. We have been acknowledging lots of lasts that we have experienced this week....and looking forward to all the "firsts" we will be experiencing with Elysa finally coming home.

Our count down to leaving for China is now less than what our flight time will be (16+hours). We will leave for the airport in the morning for our 2:30P flight. We have packed and repacked at least 12 times. We have pared down our check in luggage weight from a starting weight of 53pounds to 44, which is the weight it has to be for in country travel without financial penalty. It is amazing how much a bottle of travel shampoo, diapers, bottle/nipple, toys, magazine, shoes etc..can weigh...needless to say we will be leaving many things at home. We will be using what the hotels have, doing laundry in the hotel or with a service and buying any extra stuff we may need. So we will have lots of fun trying to use our mandarin we have learned to negotiate shopping deals and getting where we want to!!

One checked bag weighing 44 pounds and two carry ons (weighing lots and stuffed full..hopefully the zippers hold up on them)

Elysa's room and furry friends are ready and waiting for her to come home....

Elysa, mama and baba are so excited to be leaving to come for you!! You will not know who we are at first and you will be very scared but please know we love you and you have been in our hearts for the last two years and we are so happy to finally bring you home and have you as our daughter forever. We have a very special gift for your foster mom. She will get many pictures of all the activities your mama and baba have done in the recent past and of all the fun times we have as a family with everyone who can't wait to meet you here in Washington. She will also get pictures of your house, your room, your josie and jackson and of mama and baba. We will also be giving her a very special necklace of a butterfly so she will always think of you when she sees the prescious, beautiful butterflies, just as we have thought of you all this time. wo ai ni, wo de xiao hu die!!! Dreams can and do come true!!
